'march of a million'

Protests involving hundreds and thousands continued in Cairo, Alexandria, Port Said, Suez and other cities throughout Egypt on Monday. Muslim, Coptic Christian, Roman Catholic, Protestant, and Greek Orthodox have been reported as combining, coming together as one united people determined to bring to an end the rule and the 30 year dictatorship of President Husni Mubarak and his repressive regime which has harnessed and harassed the Egyptian people through aggressive, unrelenting fear from its very beginning (30 year state of continuous emergency) whilst at the same time acting as the regional agents for western global interests, and notably US imperialism.

“Hosni Mubarak, Omar Suleiman, both of you are agents of the Americans,” protesters chanted. “Mubarak, Mubarak, the plane awaits!”

Young and old defied the curfew together imposed by the military and rejected with contempt Hosni Mubarak’s efforts and desperate elbow grease to present a new cabinet as a step towards greater democracy. Saturday’s appointee of Omar Suleiman, the director of the Egyptian General Intelligence Directorate (EGID), as vice president was seen as distinctly agitating and provocative.

Tens of thousands have flocked to the Tahrir Square. Clashes between demonstrators and police have left at least 150 people dead but some are saying that this finger could even be much higher, thousands more wounded, and with hospitals working flat-out doing the best they can with medication and drugs now in short supply, here in Britain an appeal, urgent request for Egyptians to give blood has been made.

In Alexandria on the western edge of the Nile delta, on the Mediterranean Sea, where the antigovernment protests began, the police were unable to maintain the curfew in the face of such sustained opposition. Large-scale demonstrations broke open and onto the streets after the funerals of victims murdered by the police were held. Such is the anger that Al Jazeera news bureau live stream Internet connection, which I have been following events on whenever I can, keeps saying and repeating that the people have passed through the fear barrier. And just to say that Al Jazeera is a really good informative source and reservoir of world up to date news. Here is a link Al Jazeera

The government also announced on Sunday that it was revoking Al Jazeera’s licence to broadcast and was shutting down its bureau office in Cairo. Later Sunday it was announced that police would be back on patrol on Monday after disappearing from the streets, this I suspect was a tactic to allow a breakdown in law and order with much looting taken place, some reports suggest and even say that Police Offices were doing some looting themselves, however Police did returned to traffic, criminal and other work today which is Monday at the time of writing this post. So if this was a tactic then it has miserably failed, because all over the large cities of Egypt the people have formed community committees that have taken on guarding homes, properties and cars, even cleaning the rubbish and debris from the streets. I was very moved to read that Christians would willingly lookout for Muslims when they were called to prayer. Such cooperation makes you realise that the human race and the working classes are capable of some great accomplishments, and here was something so great and good being carried out for the good of the whole community, whilst world leaders were running round like the headless chickens they are dictating and telling us all what needed to be done in Egypt so long as it didn’t involve violence.

The Obama administration and the US establishment really do have chicken faecal matter (shit) running down their faces. Here we have an African American the first to be President and middle name ‘Mohamed’ to boot assuming the same position and protecting the same US interests as any of his predecessors, and what changed Obama…nothing.

I lost a US tweeter following me on Sunday when I called the US the ‘Great Satan’ which it is; they the ruling class of America are chief spirits of evil and the antagonists of God; tempter of mankind; masters of Hell. And let’s not forget our own ruling elite, and how can we when you see the beaming face of Middle East peace envoy giving his opinion on the telly, yes you got it Tony (fucking) Blair the Devils Disciple, the Angel of Death. Well I better end this post here before I smash my computer.

I wanted to get this post done before tomorrow, the day that millions of Egyptians will gather and march to Tahrir Square, a day that the whole world will be watching and praying that Husni Mubarak decides to go and without a single drop more of Egyptian blood being spilt.
